Avatar LogoAward for Exceeding Patient Expectations

For the 4th consecutive year, we are proud to report the hospital’s receipt of the “Award for Exceeding Patient Expectations” from patient satisfaction group Avatar International Inc. In order to do that, we need to know what we're doing right and what needs improvement. We depend on our patients to give us feedback and let us know how we are doing. Following your care, patients are selected randomly to participate in a patient satisfaction survey.

JJoint Commissionoint Commission Accreditation

CRH is accredited by the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The Joint commission is the organization that surveys and accredits more than 15,000 healthcare organizations in the United States. To those hospitals found to deliver safe, quality care to their patients, The Joint Commission grants accreditation, which is a symbol of quality and the “housekeeping gold seal of approval” for healthcare organizations.

Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists Accreditation

The CRH Laboratory has been awarded national accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists based on the results of a recent on-site inspection. According to the Commission, our lab is to be “congratulated for the excellence of the services being provided.” An accredited lab is one that is inspected by a private non-profit accrediting organization approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CAP Laboratory Accreditation validates that our lab’s performance and procedures are considered equivalent to, or more stringent than, the government’s and CMS’s regulatory requirements.

A Bronze Achievement Award, based on progress, was also received by CRH from the Virginia Health Quality Center, a not-for-profit organization that works to implement successful and meaningful changes to the way health care is delivered.
